OraBloom Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the OraBloom mobile application, hereby referred to as the "Application," "App," or "OraBloom," created by Kamalaben Modi, hereby referred to as the "Service Provider."

OraBloom is a gratitude journaling and emotional wellness app that helps users write journal entries, record how they feel, attach photos and voice notes, chat with an AI companion called Ora, view mood trends and insights, build journaling streaks, and better understand their emotional well-being over time. This service is provided as an "AS IS" service.

Information We Collect

Journal Entries and User-Provided Information

OraBloom may allow users to record journal entries, written reflections, gratitude notes, responses to reflective prompts, selected moods, dates and times, photos, voice notes, or other personal inputs related to their well-being.

This information is used only to provide the app's core features, such as journaling, mood tracking, journal history, the calendar view, highlights, streaks, statistics, trends, insights, saved affirmations, and personal monthly summaries.

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share users' journal entries or personal information for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Profile Information

OraBloom may ask users to provide a name or nickname of their choosing and to select the wellness interests or goals that matter to them.

This information is used only to personalise the app experience, such as addressing users by name and tailoring prompts and content. A real name is not required, and the Application does not require users to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address or phone number.

Photos, Voice Notes, and Device Permissions

OraBloom may allow users to attach photos and voice notes to their journal entries. To provide these features, the Application may request permission to use the camera, the photo library, and the microphone.

The Application may also offer an optional App Lock feature that uses Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode, and may request permission to send reminder notifications.

Each permission is optional, is requested only when the related feature is used, and can be declined or changed at any time in the device settings. Biometric authentication is performed entirely by the device, and the Service Provider never receives or stores biometric data. Photos and voice notes are stored with the related journal entry only so that they can be displayed or played back to the user.

Ora AI Companion Conversations

OraBloom may allow users to chat with an AI companion called Ora and to select a conversational persona.

Messages sent to Ora, and Ora's replies, may be stored as chat history so that users can revisit past conversations. This information is used only to provide and improve the conversation feature.

Ora is an automated feature. Ora does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or professional mental health advice, and is not a therapist, counsellor, or licensed professional of any kind.

Mood and Wellness Data

OraBloom may process mood-related information entered by users, including selected mood levels, emotions, notes, dates, times, or other optional details.

This information is intended only to help users track and understand their mood patterns. OraBloom does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or professional mental health advice.

Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical, psychological, or mental health concerns.

Subscription and Purchase Information

OraBloom may offer an optional premium subscription and optional purchases of in-app "Stars" used for cosmetic items, collectibles, and rewards.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Payment and billing details are handled entirely by Apple and are never received or stored by the Service Provider. The Application receives only the information required to unlock purchased features and to restore previous purchases.

Data Storage and Retention

Journal entries, moods, photos, voice notes, chat history, saved affirmations, and related information may be stored locally on the user's device, and, where iCloud is enabled, in the user's own private iCloud account so that data can sync between the user's devices and be restored on a new device.

The Service Provider retains user-provided information only for as long as necessary to provide the app's functionality, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Users may delete journal entries, use the in-app option to clear their data and start fresh, or stop using the Application at any time. Users can also stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

  • App version
  • Crash logs
  • Basic analytics data, such as screens viewed and features used
  • Purchase and subscription events, such as when a purchase is started, completed, or restored
  • Device type
  • Operating system version

This information is used only to improve app performance, stability, reliability, and user experience. It does not include the contents of journal entries, photos, voice notes, or Ora conversations.

How We Use Information

Collected information may be used only to:

  • Record and display journal entries, moods, photos, and voice notes
  • Show journal history, the calendar, highlights, mood trends, charts, streaks, and insights
  • Help users track emotional patterns over time
  • Provide the Ora AI companion and its chat history
  • Send optional reminder notifications that users have agreed to receive
  • Protect journal content through the optional App Lock feature
  • Process and restore subscriptions and Stars purchases through Apple
  • Provide in-app rewards, Stars balances, collectibles, and achievements
  • Determine which features are available on the free and premium tiers
  • Detect and fix crashes or technical issues
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Analyze general usage trends through aggregated or anonymized data

The Service Provider does not sell, rent, or share user journal data, mood data, or personal information for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Health and Wellness Disclaimer

OraBloom is designed for personal journaling, gratitude practice, and general wellness purposes only.

The Application is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or crisis support. This applies equally to the Ora AI companion and to all of its personas, regardless of how they are named or described.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately.

Third-Party Services

The Application may use third-party services for analytics, subscriptions, crash reporting, cloud storage, or app functionality. These services may include:

  • Apple In-App Purchase
  • Apple iCloud

The Application does not display advertising and does not use advertising networks.

User Consent

Information is provided only after explicit user action. By entering journal, mood, or conversation information and using the Application, users consent to the processing of their information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application.

You may also stop using the journaling, mood tracking, voice note, photo, or Ora chat features at any time, and you may decline or withdraw any individual permission in your device settings.

Children's Policy

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.

If the Service Provider becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, such information will be deleted promptly.

Security of Data

The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards to protect user information during storage, transmission, and processing, including storing journal content on the user's own device, offering an optional App Lock, and leaving all payment handling to Apple.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Users are advised to review this page regularly for any updates. Continued use of the Application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

Effective Date: This Privacy Policy is effective as of 1 June 2026.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
